I really love the colour story mosaic...Great post! I really love the colour story mosaic you came up with. I quite agree with your philosophy on fabric choice as well. I guess I was a student too when I started quilting, but also fabric in New Zealand is way more expensive than fabric in the US, so cost is an issue for most people. I still think a quilt made with prints you have selected yourself, rather than a single collection, has a more personal vibe to it (plus it's just fun!). I would definitely read your "first quilt" story - I always find that fascinating!
