I made a baby quilt a couple years ago where on the back of the quilt I'd inserted a row of blocks between two stretches of solid blue and one half was noticeably shiny, even after I'd washed it a couple times. Drove me crazy because I hadn't noticed any differences when I was piecing it! Considering that comment up above leading to that blurb from a book about Kona cottons, it makes me wonder what was up - if it was sizing making one side shiny, for example, washing it should have helped, I'd have thought. Hm. Anyway, thinking out loud... :D

(clumsy.chord(at)gmail.com)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3285076373350210119.post-81723279041644397032013-03-27T17:54:16.477-04:002013-03-27T17:54:16.477-04:00That horse is awesome!!! No great quilting advice, but I was taught that you bought both sides of a fabric so feel free to use them both :-) Batiks can be equally tricky to decide so just pick the side that looks best to you.marcellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11980574317495245466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3285076373350210119.post-10128801738478970342013-03-27T06:59:46.380-04:002013-03-27T06:59:46.380-04:00I love the horse block.I love the horse block.heatherhttp://www.spiritblog.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3285076373350210119.post-53220281895509853982013-03-27T05:09:43.587-04:002013-03-27T05:09:43.587-04:00That is sooo cute!
